Ok a little about me, I’ve been married for nearly 30 years and I am father to 2 sons. I served over 18 years in the Army (in the Royal Corps of Signals) and on leaving in 1991 I joined Kent Police.
During my time in the Army I was stationed primarily in Germany but managed to go to Belize twice to work in a jungle environment and Northern Ireland twice (during the trouble over there), my second tour was as a RUCLO (Royal Ulster Constabulary Liaison Officer) which was where I gained an interest into Police work.
On joining the Police for my probation period I served at Tunbridge Wells Police station, on completion of my probation I became a ‘village bobby’ along with 6 others to cover 4 villages during the 24/7 period. I continued in the role for 4 years at the end of which I joined CID where I finished my career as a Detective Constable having served 30 years between army and police.
Since retiring from the police the wife and I sold our house and moved over to Spain lock stock and barrel unfortunately after 4 ½ years we have had to move back to the United Kingdom. Having been a softie southerner all my life, we are now living in Walsall in the West Midlands and so far enjoying it very much, especially as we can get to see the grand kids more often, albeit its a long drive to do so.
I have started this site on a part due to the need of extra income and partly as it frustrated me that many of the personalised gifts available to people were so expensive. It is my hope that all my gift ideas will meet your needs, and be available at a price the average person can afford.
